A drama that led the Naples Prosecutor’s Office to open a file for instigation to suicide, in an attempt to verify any conditioning behind such a gesture.
Investigation carried out by the deputy prosecutor Raffaello Falcone, coordinator of the pool of weak groups, which starts from a possible footprint left by the minor before the extreme gesture: there would be a ticket in which the child apologizes to the mother, with reference to the state of fear experienced in the last hours of life. References to a hooded black man or, in any case, to something that refers to a state of astonishment that could have been fueled by challenges circulating on telematic platforms. Latest generation video games that feed the feeling of challenge, but also a form of submission, as so often denounced in recent years by associations for the protection of minors. But let’s go back to the drama lived in Naples. A whole community has gathered around the boy’s family. Feeling of helplessness, collective consternation when the news spread. They all confirm a particular point: he was a healthy and happy boy, fully integrated, who liked to go to school, played sports, had friends and was very popular at home, by parents, siblings and relatives. He had no torn family conditions behind him, but he lived in a harmonious, even idyllic context. Well integrated professional parents in an elegant city district. Nothing would have predicted such a gesture. Enough to pressure the Public Ministry of Naples to open an investigation file, obviously against unknown persons, in an attempt to understand if there was a triggering episode experienced but that went unnoticed by the other members of the family. Similar events refer to the challenge circulating on the platform of the blue whale, better known as a horror game, which ended up under indictment in other national contexts precisely for having unleashed acts of self-harm in children. Fifty trials ending with the flight from above, perhaps suggested via Skype by another player in the role of the “whale”. But these are premature conclusions, in the course of an investigation that is only in the early stages. Research conducted on the excruciating pain suffered by an entire family, in an attempt to prevent forms of suggestion from affecting the lives of children too young to shake off the presence of black.
