“Stop the renewal of the contract”

She told the children in the class that masks should not be worn and she herself, in addition to almost never having anti-Covid devices, posted non-vax and denier content on her Facebook profile. For all these reasons Sabrina Pattarello, alternate member of the primary school “Giovanni XXIII” Treviso will not have the contract renewal at the end of January.

As reported by “La Tribuna di Treviso”, After the scandal that broke out in recent weeks, the teacher was put on sick leave until December 23, the last day before Christmas break. The school and the prefecture have decided that his contract, which expires at the end of January, will not be renewed. Therefore, it is difficult for the teacher to return for a few weeks after the Epiphany. The director of Giovanni XXIII recently presented the detailed report to the Prefecture of Treviso on the path of the alternate. Hired on November 11 (thanks to the anti-Covid decree that provided for an extra recruitment so as not to leave the teaching staff in schools in the open), Pattarello would have presented a medical certificate explaining not being able to wear masks due to breathing problems. The school provided her with a different protective device, but in the meantime, the teacher began to bring her denial ideas into the classroom, sparking anger and concern among the parents of the enrolled children. The protests culminated on December 14 with a protest sit-in in front of the doors of the institute where Mayor Mario Conte the Prefect Laganà had intervened. Since that day, Pattarello has never returned to class. The Prefecture, however, also wants to see clearly when the school has taken the measures. The charge that is imputed to the management of the institute is that of having taken measures and provided alternative protection devices to the substitute after approximately one month from their hiring. The disciplinary action against Pattarello will take effect only if the principal’s report is approved by the provincial and regional school offices.
