The government led by Mario Draghi has called a meeting with the governors to discuss the measures of the decree law containing more urgent provisions on the containment of the epidemiological emergency of Covid-19, which should be approved in the council of ministers tomorrow morning, but also to start considering the rules of new Dpcm that will replace the one that expires on March 5.
The meeting decided by the ministers of health Roberto Speranza and regional affairs Mariastella gelmini scheduled for 7pm today.
Movement between regions, even in the yellow zone, should be banned until the end of March.
Then, the issue of restrictive measures and any new color difference at the provincial level. As it is written here, in fact, the government could try to act at the provincial and municipal level, activating the red areas where there are outbreaks and in neighboring municipalities.
On the other hand, the hypothesis of a national orange zone to be respected for a few weeks, which had been discussed to keep the spread of coronavirus variants under control, was rejected by the Regions.
The governors will ask the premier to change gears from his predecessor Giuseppe Conte to ensure a constant discussion on options, closures communicated well in advance and maximum commitment to guarantee the supply of vaccines.
In particular, the governors ask the Ministers of Economic Development and Economy to expand the control room in order to measure the impacts of decisions on citizens and companies, in order to start compensation and supplies for the territories where they are school activities (like other activities) are introduced and qualified with a specific risk numbering, which provides forms of parental leave and additional financial resources to support parents in the event of school closure due to worsening of the epidemiological situation.
