Abrupt slowdown of new cases in Puglia. The fall in tampons partly justifies the reduction in the number of infections that have occurred, equal to half in recent days. The bulletin issued today by the Department of Health Promotion of the Region, in fact, speaks of 905 positive cases in Covid-19 against 6,070 tests performed. Specifically: 201 in the province of Bari, 102 in the province of Brindisi, 217 in the province of BAT, 121 in the province of Foggia, 123 in the province of Lecce, 124 in the province of Taranto, 9 cases of residents outside from the region, 8 cases from the province of unknown residence. From a geographical point of view, the situation in the northern part of the region is improving a lot, where yesterday 74% of new cases were registered, and that of the south is getting worse: the cases in the Brindisi area almost doubled, an increase of one unit in the Lecce area. Positive note Taranto, which halves the data of the previous day (here the complete bulletin). In Puglia, the positive / swab ratio goes from 17.8% yesterday (17.9 cases found every 100 swabs) to 14.9 today (three infected in less every hundred tests, in practice). Another positive note, perhaps the most significant for the purposes of hospital management of the emergency: the number of hospitalized patients is decreasing, 26 less than yesterday in the regional health structures. An exceptional indicator, after 15 consecutive days of increase in hospitalized patients.
12 deaths were recorded: 5 in the province of Bari, 2 in the province of BAT, 1 in the province of Brindisi, 3 in the province of Foggia, 1 in the province of Taranto, a division that highlights the critical situation in the provinces from the north of the region.
Since the beginning of the emergency, 655,306 tests have been carried out. 8,751 patients were recovered. 24,702 are currently positive cases. The total number of positive Covid cases in Puglia is 34,438, divided as follows: 13,574 in the province of Bari; 3,829 in the province of Bat; 2,353 in the province of Brindisi; 8,041 in the province of Foggia; 2,601 in the province of Lecce; 3,771 in the province of Taranto; 258 attributed to residents outside the region; 11 province of unknown residence.
The Asl Prevention Departments have activated all the procedures for the acquisition of anamnestic and epidemiological information, with the aim of tracing close contacts.
