However, it must be said that, although the procedure foresees that only in the case of checking the positivity of one of the students, the rest of the class must be isolated and rubbed, the parents are afraid and do not send their children to the school. For this reason, in recent weeks, the Lombardy Region has developed guidelines: in the case of a child present, at school, symptoms attributable to COVID-19, the parents are contacted, who with a self-certification form provided by the institution can go directly to swabbing at one of the ad hoc sampling points.
The result must be communicated before 11 pm the same day to the treating doctor: while we wait, the lessons continue, while the child subjected to the tampon “must remain in isolation.”

But as usual the drawbacks are not lacking. Tampon results should arrive the same day, but this rarely happens. There are countless delays, with entire families locked out waiting for the report.
