(ANSA) – BOLZANO, SEPT 07 – South Tyrol has inaugurated, as the leader in Italy, the post-Covid school year. A total of 91,797 children and young people returned to kindergarten and school this morning after a break that lasted last March, that is exactly six months. Overall enrollment in Alto Adige saw an increase of just under 500 this year, however derived from the difference between the almost 1,000 students most registered in German schools and the more than 400 less registered in Italian schools. The number of students enrolled in Ladino language institutes remained stable.
The return to school brings with it new challenges precisely because of the special security measures that result from the need to prevent a further spread of the coronavirus pandemic. This year there will be stable groups, extensive hygiene measures and special safety precautions. (HANDLE).
