In South Tyrol on Saturday new restrictions will be activated: the limits of the red zone established by the government are not enough for Governor Arno Kompatscher, who has decided a new blockade very similar to that of spring, with a greater tightening of contacts social and travel. Kindergartens and primary schools will be closed with the sole exception of children of parents employed in essential sectors, namely doctors, nurses, civil protection workers and teachers who attend face-to-face classes.
A decision that is the result of the crisis situation of the hospitals and the number of infected: only in the city of Bolzano there are 2,394 infections. But the president of South Tyrol will go further and today the provincial government has decided to carry out antigenic test on the carpet: the goal is to test 350,000 people between Friday the 20th and Sunday the 22nd (around 67% of the resident population).

The 5 regions that become the orange zone
Meanwhile, today the Minister of Health, Roberto Speranza, signed the Ordinance that identifies the Regions that, based on the analysis of epidemiological data on the spread of the epidemic and the risk scenarios certified in the report of the Higher Institute of Health, they go from ‘yellow area to orange and red (high risk, level 3 the orange area; high risk, level 4 the red area). The measures provided for by the Ordinance will enter into force on November 11, 2020.
Specifically, according to the new Ordinance: the Regions of Abruzzo, Basilicata, Liguria, Tuscany, Umbria enter the orange zone.
The Autonomous Province of Bolzano enters the red zone.
