For more than two months he had been fighting covid-19. The Forlì-Cesena fire brigade is in mourning. The heart of Lorenzo Facibeni, a firefighter in charge of viale Roma, died Saturday morning. This was communicated by the mayor of Predappio Roberto Canali, where Facibeni lived. He was 52 years old. “We are close to pain with the family, it is the voice of the first citizen, our thoughts go to his whole family, to the parents, to the wife, to the daughters and to all those who suffer.” Former city councilman, he leaves his wife and three daughters.
Colleagues of 115 have never ceased to be practically next to Lorenzo. On April 1, a team went to the “Maurizio Bufalini” hospital in Cesena, where Facibeni was hospitalized, giving the sirens the voice that accompanied him in his career as a firefighter. “We wanted to give him more strength to fight this battle.” There was no lack of testimonies of affection from ordinary citizens. The “Forza Lorenzo” video, which was given to him by his colleagues, is also full of emotion. Now is the time for pain.
For Predappio he is the eighth victim since the beginning of the health emergency, if we also consider that of Raffaele Laghi, who resides in San Lorenzo in Noceto and, therefore, in the municipality of Forlì but with his life gravitating in the village of rabbi valley. In the sad count of the dead is also the name of Andrea Tesei, 26, the youngest victim of the covid-19 in the Forlivese area. Her heart died on March 26.
