On Thursday night the soldiers at the station Mondolfo they have reached Marotta. It was shortly after 9 p.m. when a request came to the operations center at the 112 emergency number from a man who requested an intervention when he could not restore calm to his 50-year-old partner.
The woman was completely beside herself from the alcohol abuse and threatened to commit suicide with a knife. She was in a corner, very confused and in a strong state of agitation, brandishing a knife over a foot long with a sharp blade. The Mondolfo carabinieri managed to establish a minimal dialogue with the person. After an initial apparent improvement in the situation, unfortunately the woman screamed again, turning the knife against herself with greater vehemence. It was precisely at this juncture that the carabinieri who were operating with an excuse distracted the woman from her atrocious intentions and with a sudden movement managed to block her and disarm her. Subsequently, the rescue was concluded by the 118 staff members who provided the first treatment with subsequent admission to the Fano hospital for the necessary investigations.
