Sexual violence in Corso Francia, 21 years arrested in Rome

Commotion in Corso Francia where a 19-year-old girl was dragged into a bathroom by a 21-year-old. The man, who had already noticed her, followed her and tried a sexual approach. The aggressor, identified shortly thereafter, was arrested in a very short time by the State Police on charges of sexual violence.

The events occurred last night, shortly after 9 pm, the young customer of the fast food restaurant on Corso Francia approached the counter asking where the bathroom was. The thing did not escape the 21-year-old homeless man who often gravitates towards the room, who discreetly followed the victim who was waiting for her in the common area of ​​the bathrooms and, when the girl came out of the women’s bathroom, blocked her by arms and dragged forcefully into one of the individual toilets.

The 21-year-old, to overcome the resistance of the 19-year-old, threatened her harshly, but the victim still managed to escape asking for help from the managers of the fast food restaurant. The attacker, his face partially covered by a hat and a black mask, fled to Corso Francia.

At 112 pm the alarm sounded and in a very short time some patrols from the Ponte Milvio police station arrived in the area. A team collected the testimonies and rescued the girl while another patrol searched the area and, behind a wall, found the 21-year-old girl trying to hide.

The security cameras -which recorded the movements of the subjects in the public area of ​​the compound-, the testimonies of the employees and some clients and the recognition of the victim himself, allowed the investigators to apply the arrest of the suspect of the crime that gave rise the aggressor in Rebibbia prison at the disposal of the judiciary. The police, for evidentiary reasons, seized part of the clothes that the 21-year-old was wearing.
