Yesterday morning, the carabinieri of the Operational Section of the Riccione Company carried out an arrest warrant issued by the Deputy Prosecutor of the Republic, Davide Ercolani, against a 23-year-old Peruvian, resident in Rimini, responsible for crimes of sexual acts with minors and aggravated sexual violence.

In particular, the investigation coordinated by the Rimini Public Ministry dates back to November 4, when a couple of young Peruvian parents had requested the intervention of the Riccione police, immediately after discovering that their twelve-year-old daughter was in state of pregnancy, in the eighth month, verified by health workers at the Riccione hospital where the minor had been referred by her pediatrician, suspected of abnormal swelling of the abdomen. At the end of the visit to the specialist and received the response from the doctors, the minor then told her parents that she had had a relationship with her 23-year-old cousin, who, taking advantage of several occasions when he found himself alone to take care of the child – At the request of the latter’s own parents, forced to take time off to work, he had consummated complete sexual relations with her.


Immediately alerted, the Carabinieri of the Riccione Company began the first investigation activities, aimed at identifying the suspect, later, to initiate an investigative activity with which, at the end of numerous interrogations of witnesses, they were able to fully reconstruct not only the facts that are The object of the complaint was to state that the same child had become the protagonist, last October, of repeated attempts to mistreat another twelve-year-old, also a Peruvian and cousin of the first victim.

In particular, in reference to the second crime, the carabineros found that the attempted abuse consisted of repeated approaches and groping, from which the second minor has fortunately always managed to escape.

The full story, reconstructed during the investigation, took place within a large Peruvian community based in Rimini. The suspect had tried to lose the trail by taking refuge with relatives residing in Florence, but the carabinieri, assisted by his Florentine colleagues, located him yesterday morning at the end of a long observation and stalking service and, with prior notification. After the arrest, he was taken to Sollicciano Prison in Florence, where he will await the validation of the provision.
