From serial killer to satanic sects. There are more research hypotheses about the haunting mystery of Florence. With the help of the molecular dogs of the Carabinieri Carabinieri nucleus of Bologna, specialized in the search for corpses, new searches began this morning for any other suitcase on the agricultural land under the Fi-Pi-Li la highway. Florence-Pisa-Livorno, which borders the rear perimeter fence of the Florentine Sollicciano prison, where between Thursday, December 10 and yesterday, Monday, December 14, three carts with human remains were found.
And yet the investigation so far has yielded no results. The newly arrived molecular dogs have just left the area without reporting anything, the searches will continue in the afternoon but it is necessary to clear the area of the dense brush and vegetation that makes several points inaccessible. For this reason, tomorrow the carabinieri will continue their investigation, intervening together with the company that is in charge of maintaining the Fi-Pi-Li, for the cutting of vegetation. About twenty carabinieri, from the company Sis and Oltrarno, participated in the searches this morning, together with the two dogs, canine units specialized in finding corpses. Meanwhile, today, at the forensic medicine institute, new analyzes of the remains found must be carried out and work will be done on the reconstruction of the bodies. As we know, today an autopsy must be carried out on the remains of the second body, that of the woman, found yesterday by the police inside a third suitcase in a field on the outskirts of Florence, adjacent to the Sollicciano prison and the Florence-Pisa-Livorno motorway.
Yellow in Florence, two suitcases with human remains found at a distance of 70 meters from each other
Florence, third suitcase with human remains found: “They belong to a woman.” The yellow of the corpses near the prison
The horror of the corpses torn to pieces and put in the cars has triggered extensive investigations and opened disturbing questions: at this moment, a double homicide and disturbing shadows could appear in the background, such as that of the action of a serial killer or a satanic cult. The first two bags discovered in the camp, at a distance of about seventy meters from each other, contained the saponified corpse of an adult man, with a white complexion: the torso, wrapped in a cloth, in a suitcase, and the legs in another. Examination of the autopsy at the Careggi Institute of Forensic Medicine reveals that the man, aged between 40 and 60, was allegedly killed with a stab wound to the throat. The only distinctive sign found that could help researchers is the presence of a tattoo on the forearm of a man in an advanced state of decomposition. The tattoo has yet to be deciphered. Extensive period of time to track death: six months to two years after discovery of remains.
Yesterday afternoon, 100 meters from the first car found and 170 meters from the second, during an inspection by the Carabinieri of the Florentine Arma investigation unit that are carrying out the investigations initiated into the hypothesis of the crime of homicide and concealment of a corpse, coordinated by the deputy prosecutor. Ornella Galeotti, emerged from the mud and undergrowth a third suitcase, with the interior of a human trunk of a woman, in an advanced state of decomposition. According to the researchers, in the vicinity of the first three finds there may be an additional suitcase with the missing part of the woman’s body. At the moment nothing is known about the identity of the two bodies and it is hoped that the DNA samples can give some answers to arrive at their identification, which will also be compared with the data from the databases of missing persons.
There are only hypotheses about how the terror suitcases ended up on the farmland near Sollicciano prison: they could have been thrown from the highway that passes above, presumably by a moving vehicle, but on that stretch of Florence-Pisa-Livorno . there is a sound absorbing barrier almost two meters high; so that only from a truck could they have been thrown in that case. Another hypothesis is that someone threw them among the brambles and weeds that came by car near the field. Nor is it ruled out that in this case the author of the macabre gesture wanted to send a message given the proximity to the Sollicciano prison; but this hypothesis is considered unlikely, given the possibility of finding the suitcases. How long the bags had been there is another question that is not easy for researchers to resolve.
The significantly worn and muddy suitcases are assumed to have been in the field for at least a year. The 74-year-old retiree who found the first suitcase said he cultivated the social garden but hadn’t cut weeds for a couple of years, where he then made the horrifying discovery.
