Self-certification is back – that’s when it’s needed in Liguria

Liguria. It had been shelved, but with the new Dpcm launched today by the government, the well-known form of self-certification (or rather self-declaration) also returns, which must be completed and signed in case of checks (click HERE to download it).

It is a module very similar to those adopted during the last blockade, simply updated with the latest legislative references so that the declaration is always valid. It must be shown together with an identity document. It is advisable to have it already completed to save time, otherwise the police forces usually have copies to hand out to citizens.

With self-certification you can declare the reasons for the movements provided for by the decree: proven work needs, health reasons, other reasons of urgency and need (for example, shopping), going to school for lessons that remain active in presence , return to your home, residence or domicile

WHEN TO USE IT

Self-certification will always be used to leave home between 10 at night and 5 in the morning, the time in which the curfew occurs throughout the national territory. Self-certification will not be required for physical activity (eg, a walk) or outdoor sports activity (eg, running), as long as it is individually.

For the orange zone regions, self-certification will be required each time you leave your region, but also each time you leave your municipality of residence. Self-certification will not be required for physical or outdoor sports activities, as long as it is on an individual basis.

For the red zone regions, on the other hand, self-certification will be required every time you leave home, without a time limit, for any type of trip. In fact, the decree also prohibits them “within the same territories” characterized by a “scenario of maximum gravity”. Self-certification will not be required for physical activity close to home and for outdoor sports, as long as it is individual.

At the moment, Liguria, like the rest of the regions, is waiting to know in which category it will be included. Depending on the data on infections and the other parameters taken into consideration by the technical-scientific committee, the regions may change “zone” and consequently the prohibitions and situations in which self-certification is required change.
