Emilio Calestani, 71, the pensioner who was the victim of a serious car accident on Friday night on Via XXIV Maggio in Leno, in the Cascina Palazzo area, did not succeed: he died in the hospital less than 24 hours after the entry. His condition was truly desperate: he had been revived for a long time, his heart had started beating again but he had never regained consciousness.
The body is still at the disposal of the judicial authority, which could shortly authorize the burial. His wife and two children cry. He lived in Castelletto di Leno, where he was well known: retired for a few years, he had worked in the metallurgy sector for his entire life.
On Friday night he would meet his friends in Milzano, with whom he had, as always, a date to play cards. He was driving his Yamaha Majestic scooter when he suddenly lost control of the vehicle – he was thrown off the saddle and ended up in a gutter, where he hit his head on the concrete embankment.
Death less than 24 hours after the accident
A very violent impact, which unfortunately did not leave him out a few hours after the event. The polls were entrusted to the carabinieri, who worked to rebuild the dynamics. It is not ruled out that at the time of the impact Calestani had already lost his helmet.
