And so the Minister of Education, Lucía Azzolina, recalls the decision of the CTS: “Secondary schools must also be reopened in consideration of the latest European Union evaluations, according to which schools are not a dangerous place for contagion” .
If the government does not seem to have doubts about a safe restart, it is not the same for the unions. “Uncertain messages, 50% before, 75% after a week, negatively influence the relationship with public opinion”, warns the general secretary of the CISL Scuola, Maddalena Gissi. For this reason, according to the union member, “families are opting for parental education precisely because they trust less in the school organization.
“We have lost another week to do what is necessary: open schools in presence and security”, denounces the general secretary of Uil Scuola, Pino Turi, “enough with the rhetoric and let’s be honest and let’s not say it.”

The governor of Veneto, Luca Zaia, on the other hand, is more critical: “the opening of secondary schools to 50% but it can be done if the conditions are right and the evaluation will have to be established by the prevention department. Florence is also ready. Mayor Dario Nardella – affirms that “with the metropolitan city we have equipped ourselves to guarantee a 75% restart plan. Now the government does not disappoint us, but above all it does not disappoint the boys. We cannot disappoint this generation. “
