In the new DPCM, school trips come to a halt as can be clearly read in the text published on the website of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and which is registered in the Official Gazette. The decree signed by Conte and Speranza establishes that:
“Educational trips are suspended, he exchange or twinning initiatives, guided visits and educational outings whatever their name, programmed by educational institutions of all levels, without prejudice to the activities related to the itineraries of transversal competences and orientation, as well as the internship activities referred to in the decree of the Minister of ‘education, university and research September 10, 2010, n. 249, to be carried out in cases where it is possible to ensure compliance with current health and safety requirements “.
The interruption of school trips or twinning and exchange initiatives does not provide a time limit from the moment and must remain in effect for 30 days, subject to subsequent provisions. They would still remain practicable the internship activity ei paths for transversal competences (the alternation between school and work is clear), but with the recommendation that they be carried out in cases where security measures can be guaranteed prescribed by the authorities.

What changes for universities with the new DPCM

As for distance education, but in schools, some regional presidents had proposed to restore it only in secondary schools. At the moment this proposal has been rejected and is not part of the DPCM, but it cannot be ruled out that the issue may be raised again in the future.
