Salary increase for Italian teachers. As Il Sole 24 Ore reported, the school world should benefit from a decent increase in payroll.
In addition to the 400 million already foreseen by the 2021 maneuver, for now the teachers would bring home 92-93 euros of average contractual increase (60 net) plus another 100 euros (but only up to 28 thousand euros of income) derived from the cut in the IRPEF that is refinanced by the budget law itself.
The Minister of Education, Lucia azzolina, has already put its technicians to work and intends to define the direction (for Aran) for January.
For the ministry, with the double operation renewal of the national labor contract and wedge cutter (as of July 1) for a large part of the teachers, the three-figure increase would be achieved, promised first by Marco Bussetti, then by Lorenzo Fioramonti, and renewed by the current Conte government.
The incoming increases, however, are different on a case-by-case basis.
Teachers of childhood up to 25 years old, primary school up to 20 years old, secondary school and high school teachers with 15 years of service have quite low salaries (less than 26,600 euros), and therefore have only 20 euros in addition to the 60 on arrival with renewal. Teachers with 35 years of seniority (a large part) have income of 36 thousand taxable euros, which can exceed 40 thousand: they do not benefit from the wedge, which is calculated on personal income tax and not on salary. For them, therefore, the impact of the renovation will be supported by an extra 60 euros per month.
