As defined by the latest regional indications, the ASL Toscana Centro working group has been committed for a long time to implement the appropriate prevention measures to be adopted to counter the spread of the coronavirus also in the school environment, but also recommends maximum respect for the rules even outside. A whole class of about 20 children and their parents who come together to celebrate a birthday without taking the necessary precautions can cause outbreaks. For this reason, the ASL calls on families not to lower the level of attention even in leisure time.
“Even in moments of extracurricular socialization, the same preventive measures that should be taken both indoors and outdoors are valid, that is, maintain social distancing, use personal protective equipment, sanitize hands often”, says Federico Gelli, Coordination Director of Maxiemergenze Asl Central Tuscany.
“In cases of positivity detected during a birthday party, the Prevention Department adopts the same procedures applied in other contexts to contain the spread of infection – says Renzo Berti, Director of the Prevention Department Asl Toscana Centro – Participants in the party, who are configured as close contacts of the case, should observe the quarantine for a period of 14 days and monitor their health to proceed with the diagnostic evaluation with nasopharyngeal swab in case of the appearance of symptoms.
