Not in this order, because third place came before second, but this is the summary of great weekend of Michael Ruben Rinaldi in Aragon, on SBK’s second weekend at Motorland. Yesterday the Italian pilot with the Ducati Panigale V4 R prepared by GO ELEVEN team (it goes without saying first in the standings among the independent teams) achieved its first success in the category, taking the Italian flag to the top of the podium in the derivative series.
“Yesterday was great, after the race I received many messages including also a vowel Dovizioso who is my friend – Rinaldi told us after Race 2: So this morning I got a message from a number that he had not saved in the address book and it was Valentino Rossi, it was like winning again ”.

How was the post-race yesterday? Certainly many celebrations, but also the awareness that most of the points would have been at stake today.
“I took the trophy to the hotel, I saw it there in the room and I slept well. But this morning I knew that we would start from scratch but yesterday was amazing. I think my mother started crying at 3 in the afternoon and ended this morning, she is very sensitive and I can only imagine her reaction when she saw me on the television podium ”.
How was the race today? What did you miss to try to hit twice?
“Today was a couple of degrees lower on the track and that changed the way the soft tires worked. I was faster in the first few laps and when I passed Scott I couldn’t keep up with yesterday. I pushed, but I knew I had Rea behind me and that sooner or later I would try. We fought and when he overtook me I had more grip at the rear, I tried to follow him a few laps but I would have risked falling ”.
What was it like fighting Jonathan Rea for a few laps?
“I think midway through the race I was keeping myself under control I wanted to put a wedge between Scott and me, and Rea was in complete control of the situation. When it happened to me I didn’t have the margin, I thought, so I tried to stay there.
