Another emotional tsunami shocked the Venetico community, already exhausted and amazed by the story that involved Viviana and Giole.
A storm of pain, intense like the fury of the sea that engulfed Aurelio Visalli, the noncommissioned officer of the coast guard who threw himself into the threatening waves to save the life of a child in Milazzo.
Aurelio, 40, who lives in Venetico with his family, his wife Tindara and their two children, is described by neighbors and friends as a respectful, reserved and even charismatic person.
Aurelio enlisted in the coast guard about twenty years ago, passing the competition for second chief and after several experiences among the Italian port authorities, he joined the Milazzo Coast Guard. A benchmark for the naval team, where they describe him as a colleague always available and willing to face the professional needs of the day to day.
To prove it, once again, it is now the heroic gesture that saw him as the protagonist on a busy day, where despite a high risk he did not evade his duty as a “man of the sea”.
