Santo Stefano Award, the bishop announces the winners of the golden Stefanini for 2020
Capp Plast, Rifinizione Vignali and Net Studio win the eleventh edition of the award that the city of Prato recognizes to those who are able to do business successfully in accordance with the rules and competition.
Capp Plast, Rifinizione Vignali and Net Studio win the eleventh edition of the Santo Stefano Prize for maintaining and relaunching the work in Prato. According to tradition, the names of the winning companies were announced by Bishop Giovanni Nerbini at the end of the solemn pontifical held this morning in the cathedral on the patron saint of the city.
Transformation of plastic materials, dyeing and finishing, information technologies are the sectors in which the three companies that have won the “Stefanino d’oro” award, an award that the city of Prato recognizes to those who know how to do business successfully with respect rules and competition. A recognition that was born in a period of crisis for the entire textile sector -with the idea of promoting those within the district that stand out with quality products- and that today, in a new situation of economic difficulties due to the pandemic, aims to show once plus the great value of the Prato companies. “Today it is even more necessary to continue with this tradition of ours – said Monsignor Nerbini – which also wants to be an exhortation to courage and hope in the future. The Santo Stefano Award is a recognition of those companies that create jobs and innovation, that promote territory and that bear the name of Prato in the world. Not only that, they are companies that respect work ethics, especially committed to relationships with their employees and attentive to the needs of society, especially those most in need ”.
As winners of the eleventh edition of the Award, the promoting committee made up of the Diocese, the Municipality, the Province, the Cassa di Risparmio Foundation, the Prato Chamber of Commerce and the Municipality of Montemurlo has chosen three successful companies that represent well the vitality from the industrial district of Prato. Capp Plast, based in via Galcianese and Capalle, has a history of more than 60 years in the packaging industry and with its products it participates in three reference sectors: warehouses, bottles and flexible packaging; The Vignali Finish in Montemurlo has been one of the most active and well-known themes in the textile district since 1947 and has paid special attention to environmental impact since the early 1980s. Net Studio, based in Prato with offices in Rome and Milan , operates since 2000 and specializes in the traceability of goods and products.
These names have been identified from a wide range of candidates that city institutions, trade associations and private citizen reports have made known to the promoting committee through the website of the Diocese of Prato.
