A tornado struck this morning in Salerno, causing great damage especially in the neighborhood Torrione, eastern part of the city. Dozens of trees have been uprooted by the fury of the vortex that, after having formed in the sea, has moved towards land. The damage caused both to the furniture of the premises and to the houses and cars parked on the street or those that were in transit was enormous. She also broke the glass in the door of a bus that was hit by an object carried by the wind. Also alteration of the roads due to the closure of some roads that give access to the city center.
Great job for local police and firefighters. The mayor of Salerno, Vincenzo Naples is conducting an inspection in the areas most affected by bad weather.
