Valtteri Bottas achieved the best performance in the first free practice session of the Russian Grand Prix. In Sochi, the Mercedes driver overtook Renault by half a second Daniel Ricciardo, While Max verstappen finished third against the two Racing Points of Sergio Pérez and Lance Stroll. Esteban Ocon’s sixth place confirms Renault’s good form, while Ferrari he straddles the Top 10 with Sebastian Vettel ninth and Charles Leclerc eleventh.
Completely abnormal work for Lewis hamilton, who rode only on hard tires without ever looking for performance: the British Mercedes driver is indeed a long way from the top in 19th position.
