Vladimir Putin suffering from a serious illness, possibly the Parkinson’s, which will force you to leave the president’s office before the expiration of their mandate. The statement comes from the mouth of Valery Solovei, a political scientist and former professor at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations who, however, was fired for his views opposed to those of the Russian leader.
Solovei, speaking to various international media, states that “Vladimir Vladimirovich intends to leave his post before the deadline due to serious health problems and the read in preparation for the Duma should be read in this perspective. “However, it does not specify what pathology he suffers from, although in 2015, he writes the Sun, a team of researchers from the Department of Neurology, il Radboud University Medical Center, in Netherlands, led by the teacher Bas bloem, identified the signs of Parkinson’s in Putin’s rhythm. Some videos in which the president appears would reveal it tremor while trying to hold onto a chair, or while holding a pen or mug.
In support of his thesis, denied by the Kremlin spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, saying that “everything is nonsense, the president is in excellent health and well”, Solovei leads instead two bills which, according to him, are in urgent preparation in the Duma, the Russian Parliament. The first would guarantee lifetime criminal immunity for former presidents, not only for crimes committed during the exercise of their office, but also by private citizens, so as not to risk criminal proceedings after leaving power. The second, on the other hand, would give every former head of state the opportunity to become Senator for Life. All measures, if we exclude the urgency with which, according to Solovei, would have been put on the agenda, however, in line with Putin’s recent policies, in particular those Constitutional reform which, in practice, would guarantee a life presidency.
According to the political opponent, forcing the president to leave office with an announcement “For January” it was the family “that has a lot of influence on him”, worried about the worsening of his condition. It remains to be seen to what extent his words are tied to certain tests or if they are just an opponent’s attempt at undermine the image of the strongman that Putin has built for himself over the past two decades.
