She finds the line: “They told us to wait, they are not ready,” the other mothers tell her. Minutes pass. At the end the educators come out: “They explained to us that they couldn’t open because the conditions weren’t – explains Mónica – ‘contact the City Council’, they told us.” The partner, Gianluca, is home from work to be with his oldest daughter who has not yet started elementary school.

And everything, he had been told, was ready to reopen. In the couple’s statement, there is also the case of the garden of the structure where, they say, it would have been possible to organize ‘outdoor education’. But the park cannot be used because, they explain, the area is in decline. “A mockery – adds Gianluca – because it was voluntarily fixed by the educators themselves with the help of the parents.” The father also tells the whole story on Facebook. “The garden is in good condition – responds on the social network the councilor for the Environment of the Municipality Dario Pulcini – The interventions were made by the municipal green company and not by parents.”
Gianluca publishes photos of the voluntary cleanup operation and the current state of the park.
