Manfredonia, September 19, 2020. After almost two years of battling a terrible disease, he did not make it Rocco augelli, San Marco’s second coach at Lamis Calcio, but with a long and brilliant career as a footballer behind him, in the role of a thoroughbred striker.
There are many squares in which he has left his mark, perhaps among the most important of his career Manfredonia, when, while still young, together with his twin brother Paolo, he was able to highlight his undoubted soccer qualities. Many mourn his untimely death, first of all his beloved Carmela who in his long ordeal was always by his side, as well as his parents and his inseparable brother Paolo and all the friends and players in the world of football in Apulia.
ASD SAN MARCO’S NOTE “THANK YOU MR. ROCCO AUGELLI, REST IN PEACE”. “After fighting for almost two years against a terrible disease, Mr. Rocco Augelli has risen to heaven. In June 2019 we had the honor and pleasure of having him in our celeste grenade team as second coach of the first team.
He was not feeling very well, he had started treatment for a few months, but when he was in the field with us everything happened and he transmitted strength and confidence to his boys with his smile. When she was absent due to the various medical examinations she underwent, she never lost contact with the team. He believed above all in our playoffs in Excellence and was ready and eager to start again in that green rectangle where he moved thousands of people with his feats and where he wanted to continue making many people dream as a coach. By living this short football experience with Rocco, we all became rich. A man of great moral values appreciated by all professionals and not only. Mister Rocco also left his mark on San Marco, he beautified the Asd San Marco project with professionalism and love. Today, a 35-year-old golden boy goes up to heaven and we can only thank him for everything he has done for us. Now from there he continues to score many goals! THANK YOU MISTER ROCCO AUGELLI, REST IN PEACE “-
