The robbery carried out on the night from Thursday to Friday at the Antica Fiera pizzeria, located under the arcades of the Sentierone, ended with the arrest of the manager.
Police officers viewed the city’s video surveillance cameras and discovered that some men were wandering around the room shortly before the robbery and then saw one of them fleeing towards Piazza Cavour immediately after the shooting with an object in hand that would have revealed the money in freshly stolen cash.
The man was identified and detained a few hours later by a crew from the Flight Department of the Police Headquarters and referred for theft.
The chest, with part of the extracted coins, was found by the agents in the area where the man had fled, hidden in a hedge.
