BOLOGNA – This morning at the Emilia-Romagna traffic police operations center, several users in transit reported the presence of a person driving an electric scooter in the emergency lane of the A14 motorway in the direction of Bologna, immediately after the Rimini north toll. The operator of the operations center immediately alerted the Forlì highway police patrol, which intercepted the person just before the East Rubicone service area.
The driver, a 20-year-old resident of Rimini, traveled the road on a scooter for about 10 kilometers, claiming that he had to go to Cesena for a job interview and that he had taken the highway to get there on time. After the investigations, the young man was penalized for driving on the highway with a vehicle not allowed by the Highway Code. The scooter ended up convulsed.
