Arezzo, September 22, 2020 – Ceccardi storms into the city that was once a fiefdom of the left. The center-right candidate, “burned” in Tuscany by the imperious shot of Eugenio Giani, partially avenged himself here, reaching almost 50% of the votes, such a mass of votes that it could allow Ghinelli to win in the first round avoiding the polls . .
And within the center-right coalition there is the resounding affirmation of the Brothers of Italy that comes to contrast and surpass the League in the percentages by raising more than 20%: we can certainly speak of the effect Gabriele Veneri, the goldsmith businessman that separates the ticket for the Region also thanks to the control room of his party, coordinated by the national director of Fdi Francesco Macrì.
In the capital, however, the League is not confirmed, far from the winning percentages of the Europeans, but we know that the local consultations are a completely different story. However, the decrease is remarkable: in just one year the Carroccio leaves almost half of the votes in the field, going from 36.4% to the current and odd 20, despite the pull of the candidate for the presidency of the Susanna Ceccardi Region,
That Ceccardi, however, gets to smell the outright majority, stopping just below. In the capital, however, it collects less than in many other realities in the province where it has easily exceeded 50% of the votes. Not negligible, at least according to the first available data, the performance of Forza Italia, which stands at around 7%, much more than the regional percentage.
Also in this case, the policy of openness to civility is rewarded according to the line dictated by the coordinator Bernardo Mennini and by the deputies Stefano Mugnai and Maurizio D’Ettore. Good contribution came from the Arezzo nel Cuore committee, together with the impetus of the leaders Alessio Mattesini, president of the municipal council that is in decline after this vote. The view on the left is not rosy.
The city gives Giani a narrow 41.5%, proving the genetic mutation that Arezzo underwent in recent decades and exploded in surprising ways starting in 2015. The Democratic Party is now at a percentage of just over 31 %, ten points below the 2015 figure.
To tell the truth, however, it must be recognized that the Democratic Party and its leadership have had an important recovery compared to the Europeans when the party had obtained only 26.7% before the split of Italia Viva which is in the city. at 3.1. The arithmetic sum would be 34.2% today. But above all, the Democrats are returning to the main political force in the city, recovering the primacy that had been the prerogative of the League over the Europeans.
The residual votes for Giani instead come from the other lists, all below 3% except Italia Viva. Finally the result and the 5 stars that place Irene Galletti at around 6%. The others did not arrive.
