For now the certainties there are three. The first: on Friday Salvini, Governor Attilio Fontana, the regional councilors and the regional councilors of the League will meet in Via Bellerio precisely to deepen the strategy of relaunching the Region, its action and its team. The second certainty: to be replaced will not only be Giulio Gallera, the Councilor for Welfare. The position of the two councilors Silvia Piani (Family and Equal Opportunities) and Martina Cambiaghi (Sports and Youth), both leagues, and of Lara Magoni (Tourism), from Fratelli d’Italia, also falters dangerously, and not since today . In all cases, Salvini’s orientation is, whenever possible, to replace current evaluators with external personalities, personalities with recognized technical skills and depth. An orientation that applies above all to the Department of Health: according to the rumors that emerged yesterday, there would be Walter Bergamaschi, director of ATS Milan and Metropolitan City, but also Gianluca Vago, former rector of the State University of Milan and already a consultant for the Region .
Further apart Alberto Zangrillo, San Raffaele’s chief physician and Silvio Berlusconi’s trusted physician, who, however, has a significant card on his side: his proximity to Forza Italia could convince the forces themselves to accept his appointment as councilor even though not be so. it is an organic profile for the party as is Gallera. In other words: the “out to external personalities” line will inevitably provoke some disagreement between the League and its allies, anxious not to come out of the reorganization with less power than before and Zangrillo could be that hybrid between politician and technician capable of reaching Agreement between Lega and Forza Italia.
Third certainty: Fontana, as a good president, is not in favor of the reorganization but continues to defend all his councilors even against Salvini. Therefore, there is an increasingly clear divergence between two internal fronts of the League: Salvini and the councilors on the one hand, Fontana on the other. The governor will continue along the aforementioned path: the constitution of a team of experts to reduce the power of Gallera and among these will be, although only as a consultant, and also Carlo Lucchina, former director general of Health at the time of Roberto Formigoni. But yesterday Salvini made it clear that the creation of a sanitary cordon around Gallera is not enough for him: a reorganization is needed.
