He skids and ends up off the road and dies, at the age of 23, on Christmas Day. A dramatic car crash it took place yesterday afternoon, December 25, at around 4:25 pm, in via Prato Bovino in Castelnovo Sotto, in the province of Reggio Emilia. He lost his life Niki De Marco, a local boy. The Carabinieri from the Gattatico station intervened at the scene of the fatal accident to investigate the case, together with the 118 health workers and the Fire Department.
The dynamics of the Christmas accident – According to an initial reconstruction of the Christmas accident, still under examination by the military, the Fiat Punto driven by the young victim was driving through Prato Bovino while a hailstorm was taking place. It came close to number 109, the car skidded, hitting a concrete post and then a ditch next to the road.
Another young man who was traveling with the victim slightly injured – A fatal impact for the young motorist who immediately appeared in a very serious condition and then died shortly after arriving at the Santa Maria Nuova hospital in Reggio due to serious injuries. With the victim in the car was also a 31-year-old, also a resident of Castelnovo Sotto, who fortunately only suffered minor injuries in the traffic accident.
There was a hailstorm in the area at the time of the accident. The boy’s body was made available to the Reggio Prosecutor’s Office, head of the investigation that will be opened to clarify the incident. Apparently, at the time of the accident a hailstorm was taking place in the area, with the muddy asphalt which probably caused the young man to lose control of the car.
