Referendum, Zingaretti: I propose yes, go ahead with the reforms – Politics

“So while I propose the YES, we must reject the trivial reasons that cutting the number of parliamentarians would save money for the State. The savings would be minimal and is not the main reason for yes. The main reason is that this law can follow other reforms” . This was stated by the secretary of the Democratic Party Nicola Zingaretti in the leadership of the Democratic Party.

The Democratic Party after the court of parliamentarians will propose overcoming the perfect bicameralism for the introduction of a differentiated bicameralism. The secretary said so. Zingaretti has adopted Violante’s proposal to collect signatures for a popular initiative bill for differentiated bicameralism.

“We are not in the government at all costs – said the secretary – we are there as long as the government does useful things for the country. When the Republic entered a regressive situation, the commitment of the Democratic Party would be useless. But I do not believe that we are in this situation, on the contrary I believe that the challenges that we face open up new possibilities ”.
