Giuseppe Conte must be presented in the classroom to solve once and for all the problem related to the governance of the Recovery FundThis is the request of the Brothers of Italy after another misstep by the Prime Minister. The governance of the Recovery Fund is a controversial issue. Even more so after Conte, together with Minister Teresa Bellanova, was in fact rejected by the same majority on the occasion of the vote on the agenda proposed by Augusta Montaruli, deputy of FdI. Despite the refusal of the President of the Council regarding the creation of a pyramid working group, there is still a lot of ambiguity regarding the management of the Brussels funds.
Government requests
That is also why Montaruli has put on the table an agenda (odg) that committed the government to make clear its intentions regarding the use of the Recovery Fund’s money and its governance. There requestfurthermore, it had to be “Absolutely necessary“involve Parliament”in the management of the resources of the Recovery Fund, in the different stages of development and approval of projects“as well as in a”subsequent phase of monitoring your implementation“.
Going into details, on the agenda of Montaruli and other deputies, the Giallorossi executive was invited to “make it clear“his intentions on European funds and recognize”Only Parliament has the power to decide on the detailed methods of destination of the money and the selection of projects financed with them before their presentation to the European Commission, scheduled for April 2021“.
It was also requested to report every month Parliament on the progress of the projects and, in view of the establishment “any administrative structure for the governance of the Recovery Fund“attribute”a function exclusively of monitoring the actual execution of the aforementioned projects“, without “additional additional costs for its operation“.

Speaking in the House of Budget law, Montaruli used emblematic words: “We ask that Prime Minister Conte and Minister Bellanova come to the House to report on the governance of the Recovery Fund after it was denied by a majority during the vote on my agenda“.
