Receipt lottery, how it works: the codes arrive from December 1

[ad_1]

MILAN – First steps for the receipt lottery. While waiting for the official departure, scheduled for January 1, from today on the portal dedicated to the state draw opens a section to generate its own “lottery code”, the alphanumeric string with a barcode to display to merchants when registering their purchases of an amount greater than the euro. Each code is associated with its own tax code: the latter is the data that the portal requires to enter to generate the lottery code.

In an on-site test, the mechanism is immediate. Once you have entered the tax code, you must give your approval to the regulation on the protection of personal data and enter a control code to verify that you are not a ‘robot’. Once these few operations have been carried out, the button “generate the code” leads in a few moments to the screen that represents our code and the corresponding barcode. A prompt reminds you: “By matching the lottery code with your purchases, your receipts can generate virtual lottery tickets – always carry your lottery code with you and show it to the merchant before making a payment.” Next, there are two buttons that allow you to download the code to store it on mobile devices or print it.

State Cashback, starting December 8. The rules for refunds on purchases

Lottery receipt, how it works

To participate in the lottery, simply show your lottery code to the merchant for any purchase over one euro. Each receipt will generate an amount of “virtual tickets” of the lottery equal to one ticket for each euro spent, with a rounding if the decimal figure exceeds 49 cents (for example, with 1.50 euro you get two tickets), up to a maximum 1,000 tickets per purchase. The merchant, through his electronic registrar, will communicate the receipt data and the lottery code to the Tax Agency. On the dedicated portal, it will be possible to view your tickets and verify the draws, which the government intends to take place on the second Thursday of each month.

Receipt lottery, payments allowed

Current regulations establish that lottery tickets are obtained both through cash payments and through digital payments, with which you can participate in the ordinary draw. For tickets obtained with digital payments only, an additional dedicated drawing will be provided.
The Budget Law recently approved by the government and now under discussion in Parliament should, however, change this system, excluding cash payments and thus admitting only the expenses incurred in the cashless mode for the issuance of electronic tickets. However, at the moment, the new rules are not yet in effect.

Receipt lottery, allowable expenses

To participate in the raffle and thus obtain electronic tickets, all payments greater than one euro are allowed, with the exception of purchases made online and purchases for the exercise of business activities, or payments to freelancers.

Lottery receipt, what are the prizes

Ordinary drawings include seven weekly prizes of 5,000 euros, three prizes of 30,000 euros for monthly drawings and a prize of one million euros each year. Regarding “zero cash” withdrawals, that is, those reserved for electronic payments, the receipt will reward both the consumer and the merchant and fifteen prizes of 25 thousand euros for the first and 5000 for the second, 100 thousand euros for the consumer and 20 thousand for the operator in terms of monthly draws.
