No cases of coronavirus emerged from rapid swabbing among passengers aboard the Ryanair flight that arrived yesterday in Palermo from London. But another verdict came from molecular testing.

Three positive swabs and two doubts about the 134 passengers and six crew members. Therefore, apprehension is growing also in light of the variant Covid cases registered in the UK and after the first case registered in Rome.

The rapid antigenic swabs carried out by the doctors of the ASP of Palermo and Usmaf had given negative results, but the subsequent controls carried out at the Falcone Borsellino airport unfortunately confirmed the presence of three infected among the passengers, all in quarantine.

The flight (FR3918) of the Ryanair company took off yesterday afternoon from London Stansted, with 134 passengers, including two children, plus six of the crew, landed last night at 8:45 p.m. at Falcone Borsellino airport. Immediately after landing, doctors from the ASP of Palermo and Usmaf had activated the sanitary channel, subjecting passengers and crew to the double swab: antigenic and molecular. The health authorities also acquired the passenger lists, to monitor the progress of the quarantine of those who were on board the plane.
