Last night, Wednesday, September 16, 2020, Sony Interactive Entertainment announced to the world the long-awaited price and release date of the PS5. The next-generation console is highly anticipated around the world and, in particular, in Italy. Players immediately wanted to know how to pre-order the PlayStation 5. Unfortunately, the Japanese company has not been very clear on this point of view and each chain has handled it differently. A while ago, for example, PS5 pre-order has started on Amazon. The e-commerce giant didn’t even have time to put that page online Italian players rushed to reserve their copy, in order to guarantee delivery by D1. Obviously, we cannot know how big the request was, but we believe that the PS5 stocks for the launch date are not that numerous, at least not for the Italian soil.
Based on credible reports, also reported by Daniel Ahmad, a well-known Niko Partners analyst, Sony has planned to deliver a “sufficient” quantity of consoles to the US territory to meet demand. To make sure it arrived on time, the company would have booked 60 flights, faster than shipping, though much more expensive.
Unfortunately, we don’t know anything about Europe. Additionally, the console will launch a week later than other markets, underscoring that Sony is confident it cannot handle simultaneous worldwide delivery. It is undoubtedly the result of the logistical problems caused by the coronavirus – Covid 19. We hope that the stock will be available again for the launch date or that it will be possible to reserve a copy even without guaranteed delivery, to stand in line and have it as soon as possible.
