The Campania region authorizes private health establishments to perform samples also on private citizens. This was decided by the regional administration during the meeting called today by the president Vincenzo De Luca with the members of the Crisis Unit and the general directors of the Local Health Authorities and the hospitals of Naples and the province. Taking into account the epidemiological framework and the mass
follow-up of contacts in progress – reads a note issued by the Campania region – it was decided to authorize private structures to take samples from private citizens, with the obligation to communicate the results, positive and negative, to the regional health platform. The general directors were reiterated the indication to communicate the results of the swabs within a maximum period of 24/48 hours, with special attention to suspected cases in schools. The competent structures have been summoned to transmit the telephone numbers that allow the result of the swab to be sent by SMS, as is already the case in some laboratories ”.

Regarding salivary tests, the Ministry of Health reported that a specific type of test.
