Possible closure of parties, shops and gyms in the new Dpcm

The new DPCM is on the way and could lead to further adjustment at parties, stores, and gyms.

With the new Dpcm Arriving on October 15, the government will be able to take new measures for the Coronavirus emergency. Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte has already ruled out a new national blockade, but more restrictions are expected for commercial, leisure and sports activities.

The new Dpcm: tighten on the way?

The Civil Protection bulletin of October 8 marked 4,458 new infections of the 128,098 swabs made. The government at the moment is divided between those who want immediate drastic restrictions, such as Minister Speranza, and those who are worried about the consequences of the new rules on the economy, already severely tested by the blockade of last spring. For this reason, the executive seems to have decided to take some time and assess whether it is possible to live with the virus in the winter season.

However, drastic measures are ready, in case things go wrong, such as local mini-confinements, such as the one established in Latina.

Among other measures prepared in case of emergency, there would also be the close early (at 10pm or 11pm) for clubs, attendance limitations parties and ceremonies, stop at meetings in front of schools, offices and public places, including transportation and access bans in health facilities for visits.

The new restrictions would be particularly striking stores and gyms, since they will have to drastically reduce the number of presences.

The danger of infections in the family.

The problem that has arisen is that these rules do not change what is considered the main agent of propagation, that is, the family context. For the moment, the Government has not decided to prohibit visits to relatives because it would have the same meaning as the March blockade and Conte knows that the consensus reached could in this case be questioned.

The CTS has prepared the measures to be taken in accordance with the gravity of the situation which, if it were high, could lead to red zones and temporary closures associated with the incidence of infections.

For the moment schools are not closed, but they could introduce the obligation of a mask even if there is a meter of distance and suspend some teachers, as well as divide the lessons between the morning and the afternoon. There is always the option of distance education, but if the problems with the number of cases and outbreaks last more than three weeks, it should go back to closing and closing schools.
