Foggia – Monte Sant’Angelo, October 18, 2020. In the last hours an outbreak of COVID-19 was registered in the RSA of Monte Sant’Angelo. The situation is under control. The ASL immediately activated the protocols already coded in the first emergency phase. The Hygiene Service intervened by ordering that all guests and health workers of both RSA and RSA R1 be swabbed.

Yesterday 71 swabs were made, today the remaining 20 are being made. At the moment, 16 guests (all from RSA) and 9 health workers are positive. The swabs were made by the team of the complex structure of Diseases of the Respiratory System (MAR) of San Severo that simultaneously visited all the guests to check their health. Guests who tested positive were isolated in the already prepared areas.

The general director Vito Piazzolla and the mayor Pierpaolo d’Arienzo They recommend the population to behave correctly and appropriately in the state of emergency because they are the only tool to combat the spread of the virus.
