In the last hours an outbreak of Covid-19 has been registered in the RSA of Monte Sant’Angelo. The situation is under control. The ASL immediately activated the protocols already coded in the first emergency phase.
The Hygiene service intervened by ordering that all RSA and RSA R1 guests and health workers be swabbed.
Yesterday 71 swabs were done, today the remaining 20. At this time, 16 guests (all RSAs) and nine health workers are positive.
The swabs were made by the team of the complex structure of Diseases of the Respiratory System (MAR) of San Severo that simultaneously visited all the guests to check their health. Guests who tested positive were isolated in the already prepared areas.
The Hygiene Service has activated the monitoring and active surveillance procedures. At the moment I am in fairly good health. Due to the resurgence of the pandemic, since last October 9, even family members were prohibited from accessing the two structures.
The structures remain operational. ASL is hiring new staff to make up for the temporary shortage of healthcare workers and fill shifts for those currently in isolation.
