TURIN. On Thursday, December 24, the Crisis Unit of the Piedmont Region reported 1097 new cases of people who tested positive for Covid-19 (of which 142 after antigen tests), which is equivalent to 4.9% of the 22,266 swabs performed, of which 13,220 antigen tests. Of the 1,097 new cases, 508 were asymptomatic, or 46.3%.
The cases are divided as follows: 331 evaluations, 514 case contacts, 252 with ongoing investigation; by area: 167 RSA / Social Welfare Structures, 57 schools, 873 general population.
The total of positive cases thus becomes 195,840, divided as follows by provinces: 17,365 Alessandria, 9,720 Asti, 6,759 Biella, 27,087 Cuneo, 15,239 Novara, 103,038 Turin, 7,395 Vercelli, 6,568 Verbano-Cusio-Ossola, in addition to 1,054 residents outside the region, but in charge of Piedmontese health structures. The remaining 1615 are under development and territorial allocation.
The deaths
There are 48 Covid-19 test positive deaths reported by the Piedmont Region Crisis Unit, of which 3 occurred today (note that the cumulative updated data reported daily also includes deaths that occurred in the previous days and were only later determined as Covid deaths).
The total is now 7,727 deaths who tested positive for the virus, divided as follows: 1,182 Alessandria, 480 Asti, 328 Biella, 861 Cuneo, 640 Novara, 3,557 Turin, 365 Vercelli, 244 Verbano-Cusio-Ossola, in addition to 70 residents outside the region but died in Piedmont.
The healed
The cured patients are a total of 149,903 (+ 2,700 compared to yesterday) divided as follows at the provincial level: 13,017 Alessandria, 7,590 Asti, 4,555 Biella, 20,244 Cuneo, 12,560 Novara, 79,845 Turin, 5,316 Vercelli, 5,374 Verbano-Cusio- Ossola, in addition to 685 extraregion and 717 being defined.
The other numbers
There are 213 hospitalized in intensive care (-2 compared to yesterday). Non-intensive care patients are 3,144 (-95 compared to yesterday). There are 34,853 people in home isolation. The diagnostic swabs processed so far are 1,934,619 (+22,266 compared to yesterday), of which 898,350 were negative.
