Today, Sunday, November 22, 2020, 2,641 people have tested positive for coronavirus in Piedmont. Of these, 881, 33%, are asymptomatic.
The general subdivision at the provincial level becomes: 12,883 Alessandria, 6,869 Asti, 5,247 Biella, 19,738 Cuneo, 11,194 Novara, 80,947 Turin, 5,573 Vercelli, 4,820 Verbano-Cusio-Ossola, in addition to 866 residents outside the region but in charge of Piedmontese health facilities. The remaining 1,438 are under development and territorial allocation.
Hospitalizations and tampons: the numbers
There are 398 hospitalized in intensive care (+8 compared to yesterday). There are 5,132 hospitalized patients who are not in intensive care (-18 compared to yesterday). There are 71,482 people in home isolation. The diagnostic swabs processed so far are 1,418,692 (+13,605 compared to yesterday), of which 748,560 were negative.
The deaths
There are 69 Covid-19 test positive deaths reported by the Piedmont Region Crisis Unit, of which 10 occurred today (note that the updated cumulative data reported daily also includes deaths that occurred in the previous days and were only later determined as Covid deaths). The total now stands at 5,565 deaths who tested positive for the virus, divided as follows by province: 858 Alessandria, 329 Asti, 266 Biella, 594 Cuneo, 513 Novara, 2,494 Turin, 282 Vercelli, 173 Verbano-Cusio-Ossola, in addition to 56 residents outside the region but died in Piedmont.
Today, the Crisis Unit of the Piedmont Region announced that the patients cured are a total of 66,998 (+1,652 compared to yesterday) divided as follows at the provincial level: Alessandria 5,906, Asti 3,231, Biella 2,095, Cuneo 7,534, Novara 4,897, Turin 38,202, Vercelli 2,516, Verbano-Cusio-Ossola 1,901, as well as 374 extra-regions and 342 in the process of definition.
