People keep dying from Covid but new cases are still low [notiziediprato.it]

Twenty more new cases and three deaths from Covid. The balance registered in the last 24 hours in the provincial territory according to the bulletin published by the Region is in chiaroscuro because, on the one hand, new infections are still low, while deaths are almost a daily constant and today we have the same number of deaths that yesterday. One of the victims is the pharmacist historian Rodolfo Bottari, known in the city: he was 82 years old and died in Santo Stefano where he was hospitalized. Also in the hospital, an 81-year-old man and a 91-year-old woman died. Across Tuscany, 47 died with an average age of over 81 years. The Region specifies that some of the deaths reported to the offices in the last 24 hours refer to deaths that occurred in the previous days and that two of the deceased are residents outside of Tuscany.
With 20 new cases and three deaths today, the total registered in Prato since the beginning of the pandemic amounts to 9,945 and 225, respectively.
In Tuscany the new positives are 489, 0.4% more than the total of the previous day with an average age of about 49 years. The swabs performed were 12,190, of which 4% were positive. On the other hand, 3,808 subjects evaluated today (excluding control swabs), of which 12.8% were positive. To these are added 4,569 rapid antigenic swabs. Currently the positives are 15,035 today, -7.6% compared to yesterday. There are 1,303 hospitalized (67 less than yesterday), of which 202 in intensive care (12 less). Hospitalized patients are also decreasing in Prato, where 95 of the 112 beds reserved for covid patients in the medical area and 12 of the 20 in intensive care are occupied in Santo Stefano. Fewer hospitalizations also in intermediate care: there are 37 patients in the Pomegranate and 32 in the old hospital building.
