In January, in fact, the payment occurs on the second bankable day of the month: this means that those who have the pension paid to the bank account, for which the advance provided by Civil Protection does not apply, will receive the check only on the day of Tuesday, January 5, 2021.
But let’s get back to the central theme of this article: it is important that Borrelli confirmed that the February pension payment will be anticipated.

Pensions: February payment to be anticipated – Borrelli confirmation
The head of Civil Protection, Angelo Borrelli, therefore confirmed that the advance payment of pensions will continue at least until February.

The order signed by Borrelli indicates that “in order to allow Poste Italiane SpA to manage access to its counters to holders of the right to charge the aforementioned services, in a manner compatible with the current provisions adopted to contain and manage the epidemiological emergency due to COVID-19, safeguard the rights of the owners of the same services“The payment of:
- pension treatments;
- checks, pensions and supplementary allowances paid to disabled civilians.
In detail, for the January pension, the payment at the post offices – where a special calendar will be drawn up that will take into account the alphabetical order December 28th.
As for the February pension, however, the payment is in advance from January 25 to January 30, 2021. In detail, on Monday, January 25, the pension will be paid for those whose surname begins with A or B; On Tuesday, December 26, however, the pension is paid with the initials C and D (and so on until Saturday). In any case, the calendar must be made official by the Italian post office.
