Yes to the expulsion of Luca palamara. The assembly of the National Association of Magistrates rejected the appeal filed by the former president against the decision to expel him, thus confirming the resolution of the Central Steering Committee of last June 20. The assembly vote was preceded by the intervention of Palamara himself, who explained the reasons for his appeal.
Of the 130 assembly participants accredited to vote, 113 voted: 111 voted for expulsion, one vote against, and one blank ballot. The “parliamentarian” of the ANM had decided to expel him accepting the proposal of the board of arbitrators, formulated by the “serious violations to the deontological code.
On that occasion Palamara had requested to be heard but the request was rejected because the statute establishes that this is only done before the board of arbitrators. Palamara contested the expulsion and asked to speak to the assembly, a request that was granted today.
