Albanella. The Malnome river flows into the Bosco district: car washed away. The road that runs alongside it is completely flooded. The car was hit hard by the fury of the water. Two boys on board: a young man from Albanella, who managed to save himself and a girl, DQ, his sister-in-law, currently missing.
According to an initial reconstruction of the events, the car was near the bridge in the area when it was hit by a real column of water, which did not completely flood and dragged the car. The boy who was driving rushed to open the door and cling to a tree, thus managing to save himself. The girl, a 26-year-old from Stio, was trapped instead and washed away by the fury of the water. At the site, the local Albanella police, the Albanella Civil Protection volunteers, the Licinella Red Cross health workers and the Salerno firefighters. The car was found a kilometer and a half away, submerged in water. After searching the cabin, firefighters did not find the young woman. Divers from the special fire department are now operating at the scene. The searches have moved towards the mouth of the Sele River. The hope is to find the twenty-six-year-old girl safe. Firefighters are conducting searches to find the missing girl.
