Osasuna has announced that it will present a complaint to FIFA for the non-payment of 2.8 million by Torino to Berenguer

Osasuna filed a complaint with FIFA against Torino. The reason? The non-payment of 2.8 million for the grenade for Alejandro Berenguer. Part of the figure, 1.3 million euros, refers to the last installment to be paid to the club for the purchase of the player in the summer of 2017. The remaining one and a half million instead is that of the well-known anti-Athletic clause of Bilbao: El Toro had promised to pay that amount if the player was sold to the Basques. This was reported by the Diario de Navarra, which includes the words of the general director of Osasuna, Francisco Canal: “When Álex Berenguer played for Osasuna, four teams wanted him. The one that offered the most was Torino. We reached an agreement whereby Torino would pay 5.5 million but a clause of 1.5 million was introduced in the event that the player went to Athletic Bilbao ”.

Osasuna, the general manager: “Torino has no way out”

This situation occurred later in the last market session, when Berenguer left the grenade for the Bilbao club. “Payment of 1.5 million is due on December 1”, Francisco Canal explained. “We will file a complaint with FIFA, they will have to pay. There is no way out, the jurisprudence in these cases usually leads to a small sanction for the team that put that clause, but never to the nullity of the clause.a”.
