He would have abused over and over that child he was supposed to care for, defend. From his granddaughter. A 53-year-old man was arrested in the last hours by the Milan postal police because he was accused of raping his newborn granddaughter.
The investigation, coordinated by the Milan prosecutor, was born when agents, during the classic web monitoring activity, came across a video posted live on an online streaming platform in which a man was seen abusing a child at an early age. From there the policemen immediately began to hunt down the author of the images and from that video they managed to download some data that allowed them to follow the man, in a kind of digital stalking.
That work allowed the agents to come up with evidence that later found confirmation in reality. Putting all the pieces of the puzzle together, the dramatic confirmation has arrived: to rape the little girl – they explain from the Post Office – it was her maternal grandfather. Entrusting the newborn to him, clearly without suspecting anything, was the mother of the little girl, the daughter of the ogre grandfather, when he was away from home.
The Milanese magistrates, considering the seriousness of the events and the risk of a repetition of the crime, requested and obtained from the investigating judge a precautionary measure against the 53-year-old man, who is now in prison. During the search, the Postal Police seized more than 20 videos documenting the abuse of the granddaughter and tens of thousands of files of child pornography with other minors.
