After days of controversy, there is finally official status: as of Sunday, November 29, Como and Lombardy go to control level 2, which is the orange zone and no longer red. So here are all the new rules.
Movements
The biggest change for the Lombards is the possibility of moving within their own municipality. As of Sunday, therefore, it will be possible to circulate freely and without self-certification, always within the limits of the municipality where you live and respecting the curfew, which for orange areas is still in force from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
On the other hand, even in the orange areas it is forbidden to move outside the municipality and region except for proven needs and reasons for work, study and health. Similar to what happens in the reds, it is still allowed to go to help a family member or friend who is not self-sufficient without time limits. Just as it is allowed to go out to “reunite minors with the other parent or in any case in the foster home, or take them with you, it is also allowed between municipalities in different areas”.
All these trips – read the Faq of the Ministry – must be done in any case choosing the shortest route and complying with all health requirements. “Although” strongly discouraged “, it is also allowed to travel to accompany their children to their grandparents.
Shops, restaurants and shopping centers
On the other hand, bars, pubs, restaurants, ice cream parlors, patisseries (with the exception of dining rooms and catering) remain closed to the public, even in the orange zone, being able to continue carrying out only take away food services (until 10 pm) and at home. Consequently, the prohibition of consuming food and beverages in the vicinity of the premises is also maintained.
A being able to open in the orange zone are everyone’s stores types (no longer just food), including aesthetics, and shopping centers (which are nevertheless closed on public holidays and the eve of holidays).
Schools
There will be no changes for secondary schools and professional schools: even in the orange zone there will be 100% distance education, already applied in Lombardy since October 26 following an order signed by the president of the Region, Attilio Fontana. Of course, the elementary and preschool schools remain open. As far as secondary school is concerned, lessons must be re-present also for sophomores and juniors. To be determined if it will occur on Monday, November 30.
Transport, sport and culture
No changes with the ‘promotion’ to the orange zone the situation of public transport, on which the 50% capacity limit is maintained. The same happens with the sports and cultural sphere: theaters, cinemas, swimming pools and gyms remain closed.
