Orange alert in Genoa: all provisions on closures, public transport and parking

Genoa. Yellow meteorological alert starting at 8 p.m. and orange starting at midnight in Genoa and the measures established by the Coc that met this afternoon at the Matitone.




It was established in presidio territorial, control and monitoring of municipal rivers. In orange alert they are expected 26 local police patrols and at least 11 teams of civil protection volunteers in constant connection with the operations room of the municipal civil protection, open throughout the duration of the alert. Patrols and crews are ready to raise the alarm and take security measures.


Due to the evolution of the current meteorological event, the Coc will be able to take – thanks to the constant monitoring activity in the field – new specific decisions, also in specific areas of the municipality, aimed at preserving citizen security. The management of the Municipality of Genoa, the Municipalities and the Companies (Aster, Amiu and Amt) have activated the emergency plans provided for the orange meteorological alert status.

There is an Amiu self-bleeding vehicle fixed on via Ferry a Fegino and four are available in the territory for emergency interventions. Aster has created three teams of active workers and three on call.

As to metropolitan, the two entrances of the Brignole metro station in via Canevari, the elevators inside the Canevari area metro station and the elevators from piazza Raggi to corso Montegrappa will remain closed until the orange alert ceases. Brignole metro station will be accessible from piazza Raggi (Borgo Incrociati) and from piazza Verdi (west underpass between Brignole and piazza Raggi); For the entire duration of the orange alert, the mandatory departure will be in Piazza Raggi.

For the entire duration of the orange weather alert, the elevators in the underpass of the Sestri Ponente train station, in via Puccini, and the elevator of Quezzi stay closed.

Parking lots. All Blu Area A, B, C, R and T coupon holders, exclusively in cases where these areas have been chosen as the first option (for example, AL – CF – CG, etc.), have the right to park free in all Blue Area Zones, starting from 3 hours before the start of the alert and until 12 noon the day after the end of the alert.
